Why this site exists

Skiing is built around pairs and groups. A room is priced for two whether one of you turns up or not, the drive and the rental only get cheaper when someone splits them, and a trip can fall apart the moment the person you were counting on backs out. Ski solo, or with a partner who does not ski, and you meet that friction every time.

That does not make skiing alone a lesser way to do it. Plenty of people prefer it, and plenty more would go far more often if the logistics were not stacked against them.

So here is the guide for going anyway.

What this site is

Single Ski Club is a guide for people who ski solo or without a regular partner. It is a free reference, not a membership club. It gathers the practical things a single skier needs in one place: where to find clubs and group trips, how to ski solo and enjoy it, which resorts make it easy to meet people, and how to get your gear right before you go.

How it works

Everything here is informational. We list singles ski clubs, trip operators, councils, and meetup groups, and we point to references we have found genuinely useful. If we get a detail wrong, we would rather hear about it and fix it than leave it standing.

How we choose what to list

A club, operator, or reference earns a place here by being useful to someone skiing on their own. We say plainly what a trip or club actually is instead of how it markets itself. Where something is worth knowing but comes with a caveat, the age skew of a trip, a shared-room requirement, an app we cannot vouch for, we say so on the page.
